I got scammed / skimmed

I hate to admit it but I fell victim to ATM card skimming.

The local police are as expected "not able to do anything" and I got my money back so I'm not too worried. The bank I had the account at was more than helpful and I expected to at least have to pay a portion of the scam money lost but they covered everything. The local media keeps babbling on about ATM skimming devices. I think I was skimmed from a local store when I used my card as debit (entering my PIN) not from an ATM.

Looking it over this would be very easy to capture all of the card information from a swipe reader and record the PIN as well. Anyway if and when the "investigation" is finished I want this here so I can follow up and say "I told you so"

Also simple advice I did not follow myself - Don't use your bank card as a POS debit. enter it only as credit. Change your PIN on a regular basis. Or Pay CASH!!!!
